Rodney and Sherri are no strangers to hard work and dedication to the call of God. They have been in ministry for over 18 years and have watched ministries grow and mature under their successful leadership. They started out as volunteer youth pastors in Tallahassee, Florida. Then at Lake City Church of God

In 1999, Rodney accepted a position at Abundant Life Ministries Church of God in Largo, FL. During their 8 years there, Rodney oversaw and grew the youth and children’s ministries as well as initiating and developing the small group ministry. During that time, Sherri was the multi-media director at Abundant Life. Rodney currently holds the title of Vice President of the Florida Youth Leader’s Association, a volunteer board elected by the youth pastors in the state of Florida, but has been elected as the President numerous times by his peers. In 2003, he was recognized in Christianity Today for his “Wednesday Night Live” program.

In 2006, Rodney and Sherri once again felt God calling them to bigger and better things and accepted a position at Clermont Celebration of Praise in Clermont, FL. Rodney and Sherri have watched the youth ministry, DV8, grow from around 120 students to over 400 in the 2 years they’ve been there. Sherri is the Executive Assistant to the CFO at Celebration of Praise. They have been married for 23 years now and have 2 children, Kristy a Senior at Florida State University and Keaton, a senior at East Ridge High School.

Rodney and Sherri feel blessed to be a part of the growing and thriving ministry here at Celebration of Praise and are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for them as they continue to seek His will for their lives.
