Jimmy Williams is the Associate Pastor at Celebration of Praise Church of God.
Born and raised in the Clermont area, Jimmy came to a saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ at age 21. He is a ministerial graduate of Berean University of the Assemblies
of God in Springfield, Missouri and prior to Celebration of Praise; he served as
a youth pastor, a visitation pastor, and as an associate pastor. However, after
coming to Celebration of Praise, Jesus captured Jimmy's heart for the unsaved
and a powerful call was placed upon his life for evangelism.
Jimmy is married to Tracy and they have a daughter Kristin. Pastor Jimmy and Tracy
are known for their love and compassion for God’s people. Through Pastor Jimmy and
Tracy, God has built an incredible team of people that love each other and are passionate
about reaching our community with the hope of Jesus. This group called “The E-Team”
goes out into the community witnessing and showing random acts of kindness. You
can also find the E-Team at various festivals and community events through out the
year in the South Lake County area. When he is not planning evangelistic outreaches,
Pastor Jimmy attempts to ignite passion in the lives of other Christians to win
souls for Christ by conducting evangelism classes and workshops.
While serving in the ministry, Jimmy has received numerous accolades and awards
for his achievements, including the prestigious honor of being listed in "Who's
Who in Religion."
Pastor Jimmy oversees the following ministries: Evangelism Team, King of Hearts Singles Ministry, Altar Ministry, First Impressions Parking Ministry, Telecare Phone Ministry, and Benevolence Ministries.
Tracy Williams is the Hospitality Ministry Director at Celebration of Praise. The
purpose of the Hospitality Ministry is to create an atmosphere of love, fellowship
and excitement for first time guests who enter Celebration of Praise through a friendly
welcome and knowledgeable information about the church. Each Sunday immediately
after service, we have a hospitality room set up for all first time guests; there
you can grab a cup of coffee, juice and a pastry plus get to meet the Pastoral Staff.
The scriptural foundation for Tracy and her Hospitality Ministry Team is Romans
15:7, "Welcome one another, then, just as Christ welcomed you, in order to bring
praise to God."
