Pastor Jason and Melinda Benson moved from Cleveland, Tennessee, where they graduated with bachelor’s degrees from Lee University, to become the associate youth pastors at Celebration of Praise in January of 2006. They have ministered in various capacities to best serve in the Kingdom’s harvest. Pastor Jason and Melinda are now the proud new parents of their first child, baby Mariah Cate.

As children’s pastor at Celebration of Praise, Jason leads weekly Sunday morning services for Kids Power Connection (KPC ), as well as host events for children to connect with one another. Under his leadership, the children of KPC are taught the truths of the Word of God by way of today’s fun and diverse multi-media instruction integrated with team competitions, small group sessions led by trained KPC staff, and interactive worship lead by his wife, Melinda and the KPC dance team. Children of KPC are encouraged to use their gifting(s) for God through dance, singing, playing instruments, and serving.

As associate youth pastor at Celebration of Praise, Jason serves the teenagers of Clermont’s culturally diverse community in order to reach them for Christ. He helps expand the dv8 youth ministries by preparing for weekly Wednesday night services, preaching, and connecting with students on a personal level to ultimately disciple them to become mature workers of the Kingdom.

Jason’s wife, Melinda, works alongside him in KPC and dv8 student ministries by leading the worship music and ministering to students through developing meaningful relationships and student training. Together, they are passionately committed to inspiring Clermont’s students of all ages to seek after the presence and fulfillment of Christ through spiritual mentorship, worship, and furthering of their gifting(s).
