Music Ministries
The Music Ministry is one of many dimensions. Our objectives are:
- To lift up the name of Jesus
- To inspire worship and praise
- To lead God's army into a victorious battle
- To lead God's people into the Holy of Holies
- To be a testimony of God's amazing grace
Our music ministry consists of many different areas and opportunities of ministry. We are blessed with many
talented people, however, we are always seeking to develop and involve new talent. We offer a variety of styles
and sounds of music including Southern Gospel, Black Gospel, Pentecostal, Traditional, Christian Contemporary,
Charismatic and Jewish.
Listed below are various opportunities to minister through music:
CELEBRATION OF PRAISE CHOIR - Membership is open with consultation with the Choir
Director. The adult choir rehearses each Thursday evening from 6:45 - 8:30 p.m. Workshops and other specialized
training is provided throughout the year. The Celebration of Praise Choir provides a great starting point into the
music ministry. Involvement requires vocal experience, audition and a one-year commitment.
CELEBRATION OF PRAISE BAND - The Celebration of Praise Band rehearses each Thursday from
7:00 - 9:30 p.m. Membership is limited to space. Celebration of Praise Band focuses on exalting God and inviting Him to
show His glory. This ministry utilizes musical talent in a wide variety of worship styles. Positions are filled by audition only.
Musicians are selected based on a heart of worship, playing ability and experience. Team members should be able
to proficiently play by ear and/or read music and easily adapt to a wide variety of musical styles. Please contact the
church office to schedule an interview with the Lead Musician or the Worship Pastor.
CELEBRATION OF PRAISE WORSHIP TEAM - Membership is open with consultation with the Worship
Pastor. All Worship Team members must first be a part of the Celebration of Praise Choir. This front-line ministry is selected
based on an individual's passion for worship, vocal ability, experience and a strong commitment as a choir member.
Further requirements include blending vocally with other team members and taking on an active leadership role in
worship. Membership on this team requires an audition, participating in rehearsals and a one-year commitment. The
Worship Team rehearses each Thursday from 8:30 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.
AUDIO/VISUAL TECHNICIANS - We have been committed to designing with excellence a modern
AVL system. We need experienced technicians in the following areas: (training is available). am consists of technically
gifted individuals Operating PowerPoint and Microsoft Word and Outlook Express
- Operating a Soundcraft K2 Soundboard
- Operating CD/Pro Tools for playback and recoding
- Duplicating audio CD's and cassettes of worship services
- Designing light presentations and operating a pro light system
